It is unsafe and illegal to dispose of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) with regular waste. HHW includes products identified with words such as Toxic, Poison, Flammable, Combustible, Danger, Caution or Warning.

HHW items include:

Riverside County operates a permanent HHW collection facility in Palm Springs that accepts limited quantities of HHW.
